Spokane Software Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time ERP Developer in our Spokane Valley, WA location.

Employment Functions:

  • As a member of our Development Team you will be responsible for providing production support and new code development.
  • Understand, analyze, design, and develop web based systems and associated modules using Java, development frameworks and relational databases.
  • Perform software coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and installation tasks for on-line processes in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards.
  • Contribute to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective application solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.
  • Implement new features for existing applications and assist in building new applications based on customer specifications.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with database driven web based applications required.
  • Experience with ERP development preferred.
  • 5 years of software development experience preferred.
  • Full life cycle software development; requirements analysis.
  • Java EE Development, XML, Groovy, FreeMarker a plus.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON preferred.
  • SQL experience with transactional systems and analytics a plus.
  • Experience with Apache OFBiz or Moqui Framework a plus.
  • Familiarity with Eclipse/Netbeans/IDEA, Gradle, Git a plus.
  • Good understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design and methodologies.
  • Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies a plus.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.

Spokane Software Systems, Inc. is also seeking a full-time Customer Support Representative in our Spokane Valley, WA location.

Employment Requirements:

  • Provide clients with phone and web support, assist with questions on functionality of software.
  • Have the language skills and product knowledge to write up bugs and client suggested development ideas.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to all.
  • Coordinate client priorities with Project Management.
  • Develop software requirements and definitions for client enhancements.
  • Coordination of schedules and priorities with Client and Project Management.
  • Coordinate release upgrades.
  • Assist with training and other implementation activities with clients and staff.
  • Perform Quality Control testing and documentation of bug fixes, new modules and features incorporated into the software application.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have good computer skills; Microsoft word, excel etc.
  • Some understanding of the Agribusiness industry is a plus.
  • Some USA Travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Previous experience in Finance/Payroll software is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting is preferred, CPA a plus.
  • Four or five years of previous experience with a technology company is preferred.
